The MaxIQ Space team operates a non-profit company in South Africa with the mandate to implement STEM programs in the country.
The Meta Economic Development Organisation (MEDO) is a non-profit company based in South Africa that is involved with economic development. MEDO was founded in 2009 by a group of entrepreneurs who saw the need for a more holistic approach to economic development. MEDO's mission is to "build the economy one job at a time" by providing support to youth, entrepreneurs, businesses, and government agencies.
MEDO offers a wide range of services, including:
- Socio-economic development
- International outreach and impact
- STEM programs related to the UN SDGs
- Young Women in STEM
- Mentorship
- Training
- Research and Development
MEDO has worked with a wide range of clients, including large corporations, small businesses, government agencies, and non-profit organisations. MEDO has a proven track record of success in helping its clients achieve their economic development goals.
In 2016, MEDO launched its Young Women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programme. The programme aims to inspire and empower young women to pursue careers in STEM. The programme has been a success, with over 1,000 young women participating in the programme since its launch.
MEDO is a leading organization in the field of economic development in South Africa, and is committed to helping South Africa achieve its economic potential.
In 2022, MEDO was appointed by UNICEF to implement challenges relating the the UN SDGs.
